Okay here is the deal I just bought a set of Drag Wheel DR7's on wheelguyz.com, the package comes with Wanli 205/40/17's. I have been lookin on the internet for reviews and I keep finding the same kid on every board saying the same crap " tires touch the road why would you buy cheap ones " I have come to the conclusion the memebers on this site know there stuff so i am asking you guys !! Have you heard anything about these tires ?

Other than that they are always being sold new on eBay .... no. That probably isn't the size you really need ..... 225/45/17 are correct .... but some RiceBoy may buy them from you ... it sounds like the correct +4 size for a Civic.

Can't say .... don't know what you drive ... it's not in your profile. If it is a MKIV body .... no ... the 205 is not as wide as the 225's that are stock, and the 40's are lower. The tires are about 1.5 inches shorter than stock ... so your speedometer would be off by -6.1%, you will be doing slower than the speedo is reading.

I doubt they'll rub. I mean I REALLY DOUBT it. 205s will fit on almost any car, except a Geo Metro perhaps.
You should have more torque by usuing these tires, since they're a smaller diameter than stock.

I actually bought my rims from wheelguyz.com too and opted out on the wanli tires. I decided to get with the Kuhmo 711s since they are a more well known name and i wasn't a big fan of Wanli's tread pattern. If you have a little extra cash, i'd definately say go with 215 if you have a mk3 or 225 wide tires if you have a mk4.

I took the advice and called WheelGuyz and upgraded from the Wanli's to the Kuhmo 711's which only cost me 30.00 bucks and worth it in the long run. I currently have the stock 225/ 40/ 17 Long Beach rims on my car, I wanted a lower profile for the summer that's why I went with the 205's. I had them on my 98 Civic and I liked the way they looked until potholes killed them.

I am running 711s.. for daily drive they are great. Awesome wet and dry traction. Lil bit on the noisey side, but nothing major that radio can't fix

Im glad you did and am sure you wont regret it. The 205s should hold up fine as long as you dont expect a hell of alot from them. the 711s have a pretty hard compound so theyre not made for drag racing or autocrossing but if you're just looking to cruise around with an occasional spirited drive, im sure you'll be satisfied with them.
