Go with Bridgestone S03 Pole Positions if you can afford it! They are just fantastic..

stay away from Kuhmo 711s or 712s and other off brand cheapies... (wanali, etc.)

Kuhmo makes a great budget race tire BUT their 711 and 712 series are crap IMHO... 1st hand experience!!! They make more noise than anything I ever owned after just 3k miles.. wear uneven.. have the flimsiest sidewall I've ever seen AND are horrid in cold and severe rain (again, 1st hand experience).. and only marginal on dry....

Kuhmo 711s and 712s are just cheap and you get what you pay for...

..just because kuhmo makes a good R compound tire does NOT automatically mean they make a good street tire...

Hoosier is known for the best R compound tire $$ can buy.. but do you ever hear about the praises of their street tire (yes, they do make some street tires too)...

If I wanted to cheap good R compound for a FWD car, I'd go Kuhmo... but if I want a fantastic street tire, I'd go Bridgestone S03 every time!!!!
