Okay so Im trying to make the final decision with my rims... im going with the z6's in 18s... im going to put 7.5" in the front. I have the option of 8.5" or 9.5" rear. Can i go 9.5"? or should I stick to the 8.5"? And which will require fender rolling?

to me it seems if you are doing 7.5" in the front then the rear should be 8.5".

I met a guy with a gti in memphis that had 9.5s in the back I think. He said he had no prob with rubbing.

i know that I cant fit 2000+ m3 wheels on my car. The rears are incredibily wide. And why wider tires on the back anyway? For looks?

not too sure but the width is not the only thing you have to look at. the offset also plays a big factor

I dont think you should stagger (correct vocab?) the wheels, a wider wheel in the rear causes more understeer.

How wide can you handle?
10 inches...................AROUND, ladies. Think about it.
since you didn't ask my personal opinion, I won't tell you that I think FWD cars with the stagger is silly... unless it's a fat set of slicks on the front and some drag skinnies out back. ;) but that's just me.

Looks nice, though. give it a nice rake and you'll be in like Flynt.

don't stagger, we have front wheel drive. I'd go 8.5. Those are plenty wide.

yeah, that leaves enough room to stash the hooka in the back!
