What do you think about these rims? Some Enkei RPM2. They are BBS RC replicas in hyper black. I think this will be my next buy in a few weeks. I will get the 17x7 for about 190 a rim and a deal on tires. The rims alone weigh 16.9 lbs, which is another plus. Any opinions? Thanks!

they come in an 18x8 for 5x100 and a 17x7. I cant afford 18's or the tires for them. I love BBS and this is the closest i can come to having them. I would just go and get the BBS RGR, but I dont have $2100 for a set of wheels.

google enkei rpm2. A local rim shop can order them with toyo's for 1200 and a place out of texas can get them for 1100 with tires shipped to my door. email me for some more info steve. doberman135@yahoo.com

also think that if u do go for the 17" the thinner the wheel is the more agressive it is, my dad had like a 84 16v oettinger GTI bak in france it had like steelies, but in the car was like being in a rocket

I like them, but would also go wider. get a tire with the rim protection feature also. Nice wheels.

7" wide is cool, but get at least a 215 width tire, with rim protection. I like the look, but don't like the BBS rip off factor.

I love the rims. Like paula always tells me..... mesh mesh mesh. I may get some flack from others, but 17's are fine. I'm not all hype on big rims.

the BIG one...

now, there IS a catch...all 4 rims have some curb damage. one has curb rash all the way around the rim from where some jackass forced me into a curb. I no longer feel like abusing the wheels on my car since I can't put a proper wide tire on my car without fender rolling. the wheel really needs a 225 or larger and all I can fit is a 215. so the lip of the rim sticks out furthest now, not the tire. a wider tire would solve this problem. the tires on the rims are pretty much all shot or have little life left. that is thanks to my auto-x alignment settings. pretty much the inside of each tire is bald due to all the negative camber I be having.

so...the price. I paid $227/rim. since you are not paying for good tires we won't worry about that. I can have the rims fixed but it'll add to the cost.

so...AS IS = $450
and...FIXED = $725

the place I'll have them fixed has a rep for doing quality work. they have already fixed a crack that developed in one of these wheels and rebalanced the wheel.

well, I hear Fisher's does better work but they cost a good bit more as well. that's why the price goes up so much. I think they'd probably charge me around $225-275 to nice up all 4 wheels. Fisher's welded a crack for me that developed on the inside lip of the wheel, not the visible outer lip. they straighten the wheels while they're at it.

I or you can do it at either place. your choice.
