View Full Version : Rim Opinion

I am starting to have mixed feelings about my rims... so I am looking for more options (that is if I can sell my rims for a good enough price to afford a new set) I am thinking more along 19"s this time (yes I am insane) and am pretty much open to whatever color, silver, gold, bronze, gunmetal, black, etc.
So please post some pix and some opinions...
Thanks in advance

I will take my Aristos over dish with a polished lip any day of the week but that's just me. I tried the same thing a few months ago but with all the lowballerz you will never get enough for your wheels.

I think the CHs will be in $2200 range.. so unless I can find a used set for $1500-$1700, I am considering one of the Axis ones for $1600...
hey while we talking about rims what the widest u can go with without rubbing, 8? or 8.5
I am hoping for 19x9.5 w/ 20mm spacers for the rear, and 19x8.5 with 5mm spacers for front

Well, when I have 19s, imma have to take it easy, so the tires should last a good year and half or two.. No way I can race on 19s. lol. so prob. will use my girlfriend's white rims for race, or find a set of 17s

I suppose you're planning to take them off for the "winter months?" Or maybe you only drive 750 miles a month at the most? Cause I wouldn't expect to get much more than 18,000-20,000 out of a set of 19" tires. I don't know about you, but that's less than a year per set of tires for me. :thinker:

18-20k actually would of been nice for my last set of tires. I only got about 11k out of Pirelli Pzero Neros with the 220 treadwear rating that cost me $550 at store cost
BRM10984
07-03-2005, 08:02 PM
Why'd you choose those instead of the M+S version rated at 400 for treadwear? I realize the non-M+S would be a bit stickier, but is it really worth the extra cost overall?

I just wanted something that would really stick since I planned on using them for both daily driving and autocrossing. They never once let me down and rode as if they were on rails but for what I was doing, I probably would of been alright with something different. As of right now I have the falken azenis st-115, which other than longetivity(i hope) and comfort, aren't that impressive at all.

hey... I do have my 17" oem porsche cup rims and adapters available.... bigger rims may look cool as hell BUT they mean worse ride quality and more bent wheels (at least here in chicagoland they do)
Veedub2.0T

Ride quality been out the window since the 2nd month I had the car dropped 2".. lol

ride quality is not imporatant to PJ or I :)
hey pj , if you want to PShop the rims on ur car, lemme know, ill take a picture of my wheel at an appropriate angle and u can see how u like. Ud have to make them larger, but we'll work with what we have :)
i say the gold 19" OZ Supertorismo, I mean, hell, uve always told me to go gold, why dont u? :)

How much do you want for your rims?
Veedub2.0T
07-07-2005, 06:03 PM
I do want gold or bronze, I yet have to visualized it on silverstone... and I like many spokes, but then again, i want something different than what I have... also, I am not sure if the 9.5" wide OZs with 20mm spacer in the rear will look right
How much do you want for your rims?
offers? Two tires have 85% tread left, two have over 50% tread left..

Can you tell me the model of the rim and the tires you have. Where do you live? do you know the weight for shipping?

i believe the rims are the factory 18x7.5 OZ aristos. Shipping....well, i"ll let pj talk to u about that.
