View Full Version : Black Long Beaches
Hey guys,
So I've been debating what to do about my wheels for months now (haven't we all) and I've recently decided that I want to powdercoat my stockers bronze (like Volk Te37s) or black. Now, my friend just happened to photochop my car with black LBs and it looks SWEET! But I need everyone's advice. What do you all think?

Seen the black ones.. it's blah..
I'd go with bronze
Do you think the bronze will go with the black accents?

yeah.. I'd think so.. I dont mine some bronze on mine.. Reverb or Hiro (gold or bronze) are still on my list

I say black. Once you go black, you never go back, right? Can someone p-chop a pic of LBs with black spokes and a silver lip? I think that would look good.

Problem is LBs don't have a 'lip' per se. I thought about doing the same thing with my old Montreal IIs, but they just wouldn't have looked right.
I personally think bronze wheels look ridiculous, and all black wheels look like fancy steelies, I think there are much better options ou there.

defintily
I'm not sure about the anthracite or gunmetal. I think it might not offset the silverstone enough and make it look goofy...
What the hell happened to my pic of the jetta? lol

black with bronze accents would look tight. Like, have the face of the wheel totally black, but the inside of the spokescenter, ect bronze.

I saw a set of wheels on a truck the other day... the spokes were brushed alum. finish and the rim was black. There was no real lip and the spokes came out to the perimeter of the rim, just a little further than how the LBs go... it looked sooo hot. What about that? nice satin aluminum finish, no silver paint, and a flat black or a low gloss powdercoat rim? I'd love to see that photochopped!

There's one roaming around here with gunmetal ones, on a reflex silver car. It looks pretty decent actually. Better than I thought it would have. I think it would look better than you think.
BRONZE BRONZE BRONZE!!!! DO IT!!! ..that's my vote anyway... black has been done a lot (heck, I've done it myself several times...)
..but Never BRONZE... not yet anyway...

LOL, I'll keep that enthusiasm in mind :P
If anyone could photochop that one pic of my car w/bronze I think I could be one step closer to my decision...

I think you might have to wait until next week for a photoshop crop up.... so many 'regulars' are at the GTG this weekend...
but I'd love to see the end result.. I've been debating going bronze on my blue R32 but not until I'm working again.. ....and still deciding on which wheels to do this to... I have a set of Monte's I was thinking of using for winter and getting 'bronzed'.. but I dunno... heck, I might end up having to sell the monte's if I don't get a job by october :(

I googled BBS RS GTs and that set came up. They look more like LMs but you get the idea
so what did you decide now?
If I get the B4 passat wheels, I think I'm going to paint them hot pink. lol
