So, post Katrina is a Biotch with the FEMA haulers dropping nails everywhere. So i need some new tires. What do you all know about Toyos? I have heard good things about them.

Depends which ones you get. My mom has a set and they are okay for Summer tires, obviously. But from what I hear they are a rough ride when you first get them. Very hard. Don't drive them in the Winter! :) Haha..

Charlie doesn't have to worry about snow. EVER.
I have nothing to contribute to the conversation. ;)

I plan on going with Kumho ECSTA SPT. They are inexpensive, have high treadwear, and have some good reviews.

i have Falken Ziex Ze 512s on the Corrado, good in wet and dry, really high treadwear rating, and lighterweight than a lot of others.

what about the Yokohama avs es100? That's what is on my boat anchor in the driveway... they have some nylon belts built into the sidewall making the sidewalls as stiff as they come. ;)
Good tires.

I just ordered one new wheel and four new tires for my Privat wheels. Went with the Falken 512 cuz that was the only 215/40R17 they had in stock with a rim protector lip. I wanted the Falken ST115. oh well. $502 for everything.

Bridgestone Potenza S03
not the greatest treadwear... but AMAZING in the dry and AMAZING in the rain (when in the rain the tires make it very predictable to drive in wet conditions)
hahahaha.. you guys crack me up..
I've only had 2 prior experiences with Toyo and they were negative so I can't help much...
I heard really good things about the Falken Ziex 512s (consumer reports best buy)
..but if you can get a road hazzard warranty and can afford it, the S03 Pole Position kicks ass!!!!

yeah.. I keep thinking about it... since I'm not working anyway.. maybe I start an official used/trade business ;)
..cause I sure can't compete with tirerack pricing :(
