I'm about to pick up a set of these locally for 360 - mounted/balanced and road hazard program all for free from a friend at Goodyear.
Any reason to stop me?
you might want to read the reviews on tirerack
lots of folks don't seem to like them :(

dunlop FM901!??!?!? great tire! now I dont know about the Dunlop SP FM901 if there is a difference of the 2 but same tread design as the Potenza and good tread life. I have owned the FM 901s and loved them
maybe I am thinking of the other one... anyway, I'd still read the reviews on tirerack.. maybe that one got super glowing reviews :)

I own a pair and love them. 1 draw back is road noise, which is a non-issue for me.
yes, that I do remember hearing.. very noisy tires....

well different tread patterns tend to do that.. but when you are WOT... who hears road noise?

I've also heard about the excessive road noise and tendency to wear unevenly

I had Falken Azenia Sports/ Dunlop 901/and Potenza s03s on the beast and all were VERy = in wear and tear...
now $ wise
1) 901
2) Faklen
3) S03
all were sponsered on my car in that order...
nice.. how do you get sponsorship like that anyway? I'd love to get free tires!

well you have to make a proposal to the manufactor.. pics and full documents on what you Have done and what you are DOing. reciepts are good and shop names you use are a bonus.
A roll call of shows you have attended is great and future shows lined up..
they will want to know your location, where you drive, your driving habbits, and where you park (rolling billboard kinda thing ;) )
you basically have to see yourself.
the 240n is in the works for some 17x8 fronts and 17x11 rears at the moment :D
o.k. I'm not into the whole show scene so I'd have to see about track event sponsorship instead ;)

BF Goodrich are only $60 a tire and mount balance is no more than $20 per tire. if you can hold off, get a set from tire rack. don't say i didn't warn you.

I've heard good things about this tire. Keep in mind I'm more interested in a moderate sport tire with longer tread life than others.
Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s have a short tread life, so I've heard .
Besides, free road hazard and balancing.

you're absolutely right, and with all the construction going on down here, flat tires are a frequent occurance with some people.
